Void Domain by TowerCurator

My domain. My rules.

Brakket Magical Academy in Northwestern United States is on its last legs. Enrollment of new students is at an all time low. The academy instructors go out to recruit prospective children other magical academies have ignored.

Eva is one such recruit. After witnessing her perform magic no teenage mage should have learned, an instructor of the academy offers her a full ride scholarship. Eva does not turn down the opportunity to learn magic in a proper capacity and quickly ships out to Montana.

Barely a day there and things already seem off. Every student has the same scholarship, odd smelling men wander the town, and a spider demon has decided Eva’s dorm room is the place to be.

Note: Void Domain contains some graphic violence and harsh language.

Alright, so, here’s the breakdown: The writing is solid. There’s some wonderfully descriptive language going on. I did notice a few typos on my readthrough, but that’s par for the course with webfiction and they weren’t excessive—also, the author very quickly [more . . .]

Aug 21, 2015: I wrote this review after reading the first 22 chapters, August 21, 2015.

Let’s start with the basics, grammar normally I don’t judge grammar I tend to suck at times. However, I feel the need to state that Void Domain doesn’t seem to suffer any of the usual mistakes. It also doesn’t have any noticeable typos. The website is fine easy to read. What I’m trying to say is that there is nothing annoying/distracting to get in the way of the [more . . .]
