History is going on a brief hiatus until after the election; MeiLin is going on vacation to obsessively watch MSNBC with her family. She’ll still be hanging around in the forums and blogging, and will try to post something—points stories and the like, possibly even a chapter—but don’t realistically expect a chapter until 11/8.
Starting Tuesday, the Legion of Nothing will run a short arc about the founding of the Heroes League. In 1953, a few of the surviving members of a super-soldier unit gathered in a small pizza parlor to discuss a problem one of them was having with the mob.
This week, The Surprising Life and Death of Diggory Franklin features the transition from Book One (Not Your Average Love Songs) to Book Two (An Irregular Action Hero). New readers will find Book Two a great place to jump into Diggory’s story: after meeting the mysterious time travelling Calla Wiley, who predicts Diggory will be dead in a year, our hero starts to wonder if he even has that long. His father has disappeared after a suspicious explosion, and the F.B.I., the C.I.A., and even the Mob are investigating. With everyone out to get him, does Diggory even have a future to worry about?
