What’s Happening for the Week of Sep 22, 2008
Blood Moon: the Black Pawn, is now complete. Book two, the Black Knight, has just begun. In the forty chapters of book one we followed the vampire master Erika through a series of events not in her control that forced her out of her quiet life and under the spotlight. We were introduced to Erika’s new friends and allies and saw vampires, mages and hunters in action. As the new book unfolds we’ll learn more of the other characters and supernatural races and how the supernatural community works.
Apologies for the slightly delayed post. Chapter 73: Interlude part 1. Fox Tufford and his talking sword Kaliburn enter the blasted ruins of Talistay in an attempt to find the half-stone of Wyrd and discover more than just ghosts . . . .
Special 55-word edition: Last week we posted Jackson Ferrell’s zombie nanoepic. On this week’s docket of tiny stories: Jackson’s piece about Beethoven, Howard’s End, and goblins, a “Last Man on Earth” story from Ari Collins, and something from Bleakly: P.I.’s Robert Gryfft. And, of course, anything else we get from our reader-writers!
We’re back in the Book with Macca and Ilhovin as they continue their long fight against the Earl of Belleth. Outside the Book, Sedra and Brinnid begin their courtship dance, but who exactly is cutting in? Brinnid thinks he knows. Meanwhile, if the characters behave, we’re off to the Lovers’ Temple, this time with Ellika to begin her devotional training. Hilarity ensues, or possibly not.
To celebrate the fall equinox, we’re putting out an extra holiday episode. Mary realizes that the best way to celebrate Mabon is to get rid of as many pests as possible.
