This one grabbed me with the opening sentence.  The characters are interesting, the premise is intriguing, and I was impressed by the way the author was able to develop her characters while meeting the demands of a serial.  This sort of thing is easy in a novel, but in a serial, where each episode must stand on its own, it can be a challenge.  Each chapter left me wanting to learn more, as a good serial should, and I hope this one keeps going . . .
