The Teen Years I Wish I’d Had

Aug 17, 2008: Scary Mary was one of the first online serial novels that I read, and it remains one of my favorites. Mary has a ghost for a dog, rebellious friends, and the coolest grandmother to grace the web serial world in quite some time.

Mary’s a strong protagonist with a quirky life. Even when she’s going through her hardships, she knows who she is and where she stands, and doesn’t change herself to suit others.

At the top of my list

Dec 21, 2011: I’ve been reading online serial superheroic fiction for a long time now, and I’ve read most of the good stuff, and dragged my way through the first few chapters of a lot of the crap. As of right now, Worm is right there at the top of my list as the most compelling and well-written of the lot. Between the action and the character development and the cool, well-thought-out powers and the surprising social layers, I continue to be astounded by the quality.
