SCARY MARY

Nothing says it’s a good story . . .

By Donna Sirianni, editor

Sep 1, 2008:  . . . like one that makes me want to scream at the computer screen. And in a good way.

Is this your sort of traditional high school story with the freaks and geeks and popular kids all butting heads? Yeah, it appears to do that. But there’s something so much more. It’s like Sabrina the Teenage Witch crossed with The Craft without the obnoxious and over the top elements involved.

OUTLIERS

Fast-Reading Fun

By LEErickson, author of Crowmakers

Mar 9, 2016: REVIEWER’S NOTE: This original review was done in March 2016. As of August 2016, the author has rewritten the story’s opening, done some additional editing throughout, and worked out his previous formatting issues. In doing so, he addressed my concerns about needing a character scorecard as well as about typos and formatting. Which means this truly enjoyable read is even more enjoyable and bumps my previous rating up to a full four stars. Maybe more, if this genre is your thing. So what are you waiting for?
