Anvil of Tears is the first book in the Reforged trilogy, a science fiction series with strong fantasy elements. It will be released in 236 segments, beginning on July 20, 2009 and ending on January 18, 2011.
The story centers on Maeve Cavainna, an angry young princess of an outer-rim system that fell one hundred years ago, and the bounty hunter, Logan Coldhand, who chases her for the price on her head. When Coldhand corners Maeve and forces her to fight for her freedom, their battle is interrupted by a pregnant girl begging for their help. Hunter and prey reluctantly call an end to their fighting to lend her a hand. But neither one realizes that they are about to be thrust into the middle of a plot that threatens lives, worlds, and time itself. Will their battle bring the galaxy one step closer to death or will the strength of two bitter enemies be enough to protect it?
