The first chapter lays out the dystopian situation, the next few build the drama. The free chapters suggest a novel similar to 1984 but with an American flavor and updated sensibilities; the wife is more sympathetic. The specific characters and tyranny are individual enough to this novel that those who have already read 1984, Brave New World, Farenheit 451 and the like can still find suspense and new ideas in this one.
