Nathan Clood finds the body of a girl in the base of a dead oak tree and discovers she is actually a Wood Nymph who needs his help to take her to her people.
Needless to say Nathan is quite skeptical but the Nymph, called Trewana, demonstrates some abilities he can’t deny like taking a piece of wood and making new shoots grow from it.
Trewana is horrified to find out the amount of deforestation, which has taken place over the globe and ends up dragging Clood into the classic good versus evil story. Both sides, the good being Wood Nymphs and Dryads, the evil being Fire Sprites and Chaos Demons, are battling for control of an area known as the Sitaloloquan.
The Sitaloloquan is a direct power tap into the vast stores of power generated by the planet, which can be used to create or destroy. Currently under the protection of Nymphs and Dryads, near ceaseless attacks by the Fire Sprites and Chaos Demons have forced their dwindling numbers back further and further.
All this takes place in a parallel ‘Earth’, accessed through an inter-dimensional thinning known to the Nymphs and Dryads and hidden from the eyes of humans.
The parallel earth is affected by the actions of humans in our world. Each Wood Nymph is attached to a specific tree and begins to fade when their tree dies, while Dryads are spirits of water and wind.
