A Heart-wrenching Fantasy

By Apto, member

Mar 25, 2019: A lot of praise has been heaped on this story, and they’re all well-deserved. Excellent world-building, meaningful character relationships and attitudes, and rich in character interaction of all types, Forge of Destiny is something that has had me by the edge of my seat in excitement and anticipation, gigfling in laughter, and sometimes even outright fear for the characters.

Ling Qi’s journey of self-discovery, and what she truly values in life is not only a entertaining read, but a heart-felt one. It set a new standard for the Xianxia genre, avoiding its pitfalls and making something exciting out of them, and I don’t see it being topped anytime soon.
