‘Chicklit’—particularly the self-proclaimed variety—has never struck me as a very appetizing repast. Nevertheless, ‘In My Solitude’ has enough meat to nourish the patient reader—so long as you are willing to chew through quite a bit of fat and gristle.

Normally, I hate “chicklit” and “chick flicks”, anything with “chick” as a prefix.
