Indigo by Ophelia Keys

‘Indigo’ is an ongoing gothic fiction story set in Melbourne, Australia.

Indigo investigates supernatural occurrences. But her work takes a frightening turn when a strange being switches its interest from indigo’s client to Indigo herself. Stalked by her ‘follower’ she must delve back into her own past to find the key to her freedom.

Many of the ghost stories (that are briefly mentioned) are based on real stories I have heard about houses in Melbourne. By ‘real’ I mean they were told (at a dinner party/house party/campfire) as if they were real. Of course, the main characters and story are purely fictional.

New instalments will go up on Wednesdays.

Note: Indigo contains some graphic sexual content and graphic violence.

Editor’s First Impression

By Linda Schoales, editor

Nov 7, 2010: The first chapter is well-written and already a bit spooky. Indigo is nervous and unsure about her next job and she remembers her first experience with supernatural beings. There’s a feeling of darkness and hopelessness coming through. It’s more like "Santuary" than "Ghost Busters".

Spooky Story

By G.S. Williams, author of The Surprising Life and Death of Diggory Franklin

Nov 9, 2010: "Indigo" is the story of a girl who has had encounters with what most of us would call ghosts or spirits. She is assaulted by one as a teen, and then meets Dylan, who collects stories about similar incidents.

She gets annoyed with Dylan’s scholarly reporting, feeling that he should do more about his knowledge than keeping journals. Indigo sets out to chase the spirits called "followers" away from their prey—and learns that they can take the object of their attention. [more . . .]

Oct 27, 2015: First impression review of ‘Indigo © Ophelia Keys, 2010’:

Let me first mention that I agree on much mentioned in the review by G.S. Williams, author of ‘The Surprising Life and Death of Diggory Franklin’. I do not copy-cat that into my own reviews, as I am obviously too late for a "first" review.

What I like to mention additionally is that clicking read Indigo leads us to a website. We get [more . . .]
