Two post-apocalyptic survivors stumble into each other in the desert, and drown their sorrows around a campfire..not much has happened yet, but something about this story has drawn me in and persuaded me to bookmark it. Maybe it’s the gorgeous front page art. Maybe it’s the suspense, will this man turn out to be a comrade, or a threat to the young girl who seems to have gleaned some survival skills but is still very vulnerable? The post-apocalyptic fiction field is very crowded. It remains to be seen what ideas Sandra Fowke is going to bring to this story to make it stand out and remain compelling. More detailed review and rating later.

Now if only the story would start updating again..hint, hint
