Strange Little Band is an edge of your seat ride through the twists and turns of life at a mega-corporation that owns its employee’s lives and would likely enjoy owning their souls as well.
Addison Harris is a psychic with a bitchy British attitude. The woman is take charge, no bones about anything. Nothing stands in her way. It’s a pleasure to see her move through the story. You don’t always like her, but you have to respect that this woman gets things done. And how.
Shane Myers is a hot and cold, half alien psychic who gives Brad Pitt a run for his money. Shane is the type of guy you could bring home to mother and still go wild with the rest of the time. He’s smart, intelligent, dedicated and he even makes a good father. And yet, one wonders just what possessed him to make another woman look like Addison, his former lover.
The story itself is a great read. Pauses for the exchange of body fluid is only to be expected in such a work environment. But those pauses don’t detract from the story, they move it along. The spicy scenes are enjoyable, but they also show us just how each person is at the core.
The sci-fi portion of this story is there in every scene whether you realize it at first or not.
I think the best thing about this story is that everyone seems so real. They’re all selfish, have their own motivations and are easily blinded or turned aside by the mega-corp’s machinations.
I couldn’t recommend this story more. I love it and I keep coming back to it. Hopefully the two ladies that write the story keep it coming for a long time to come.
