The Hayfield Forever by Gary Rhoades and Alex Rhoades

comedy, mystery, attorneys, scam artists, poets, scholars, drunks, astronomy, insects

This is the website of a scam artist who sells what he calls Posthumous Vanity Publishing (PVP) services to grieving families of unpublished writers and poets. He even works with a rogue group of UCLA literature professors to offer annotations. But he scams the wrong family and gets prosecuted by the Los Angeles District Attorney. He and the UCLA group are forced to publish, annotate and even visit the hayfield of the poem The Hayfield. These are their stories.

Editor’s First Impression

By Chris Poirier, editor

Aug 28, 2009: This is a blogfic written in multiple voices. Each voice is well-written and believable. That said, I’m not sure what to make of the overall effect. It’s just a bit too odd for my tastes. Still, it’s worth a look, and I might increase my rating when I read a bit more.
