The Law Unto Herself Chronicles by Jennifer L. Barnes

Forest is a vampire who is a bit too good for her own good and cannot leave well enough alone. Armed with a large hand gun, quite the smart mouth, a sweet ride, and a love for pop culture, she fights the forces of Evil.

Note: The Law Unto Herself Chronicles contains pervasive graphic violence; also, some harsh language.

Why be a vampire if you don’t even bite car thieves?

By Fiona Gregory, editor

Sep 28, 2013: I would have thought that attempting to steal your 1967 Camaro would be a good excuse for even an ethical vampire to indulge, but when you have beautiful elf ladies begging you to feed off them, why bother I suppose.

Welcome to the world of the vampire girl known as Law Unto Herself. It’s not a terribly original urban fantasy world, populated by kickass but remarkably restrained vampires, thuggish werewolves, and impossibly glamourous fay, but it’s quite well-written, evocative, and filled out with an imaginative and exciting plot. This is an enjoyable light read.
