An Intimate History of the Greater Kingdom: Audacious scope, fascinating world
This is a truly epic tale told in the most intimate way, through the eyes of the people, great and small, who live in the world of the Tremont Empire and beyond.
Imagine being a royal prince and having the chance to not just read, but to experience the TRUE story of your family’s history. The good and bad bits that are left out of the history books.
This is a coming of age story that doesn’t hinge solely on the young prince. Yes, Temmin’s is the main story line, but it’s more of an ensemble piece of work where the other supporting characters—parents, sisters, servants, lovers, and the Teacher—are as fully realized as the young prince, and interesting each in their own right.
What makes this story truly unique for me is the interactive relationship Meilin Miranda has with her readers. She responds to comments early and often. She gives in her replies more information about the characters, the world, her process, and herself than you could ever get in a more traditional format. Registered members earn points by posting, promoting the site, and other activities and when the poster has reached 50 points they may request a bonus story of their choosing. How’s THAT for interactive?
If you enjoy historical/period, fantasy/sci-fi, or romance genres, all with a little sorcery thrown in from time to time, you’ll probably enjoy Intimate History.
