To all outward appearances John Sig is just an old man living a quietly in an empty old house. His one pleasure is when he heads down to the local diner and visits with his favorite waitress Angie. To me, the entire premise of the story was the most interesting thing about it. The summary gives hints of action, suspense and fantastical elements that are all a driving force in any read (if that’s your thing, anyway). Unfortunately I feel this story doesn’t quite follow through on the intrigue it promises, at least initially.
I’ve been reading online serial superheroic fiction for a long time now, and I’ve read most of the good stuff, and dragged my way through the first few chapters of a lot of the crap.
