STEAL TOMORROW

Post-apocalyptic, but far from disastrous.

Aug 21, 2008: (Review written after reading chapters 1-2.1)

At this stage, there isn’t much to judge on – the story really is just beginning – there’s obviously a huge backstory (some of which is explained in bonus material).

The style and voice are solid, and there are no pacing problems as yet – the author seems eager to get the plot going as quickly as possible.

DO NOT TAKE THE SHELLS

Very autobiographical, but it has my attention.

May 7, 2015: The story opens with a prologue of the narrator looking at objects that we know will be part of the story, talking about the past. My first thought is that this removes a touch of drama, as we know the narrator survives, but piqued my curiosity just enough to keep going. The story is told in first person storyteller, which is to day, it feels like a person sitting at a bar telling the bartender their life story, in between shots of gin.
