DEEP, BLUE, BOTTOMLESS

Fun read, looking forward to more updates!

By Calhoun, author of Quoria

Mar 5, 2019: I really enjoy DBB! It’s a supernatural mystery involving a TV psychic and the ocean, and it gives off some real noir mystery feelings! The side characters are interesting and the town feels big – like every side character we meet has their own lives going on outside of the main character – which REALLY helps add to the overall mystery feeling (who was where? when? why? it feels like everyone is doing their own thing in the background, which makes it more interesting re: the mystery but also makes it harder to solve! Much like mysteries in real life I imagine!)

If you like: Supernatural shenanagins involving the ocean, fake psychics trying very hard to pretend they are not fake, dogs, salt getting in everything you own and murder investigations, this is the serial for you!

If you have a severe or persistent fear of the ocean or large bodies of water, this is probably not the serial for you.

ANTLERS, COLORADO

A compelling supernatural read with wonderful characters

By RoseQuartz, member

Jan 13, 2019: Antlers is a lovely atmospheric serial that I found through Webfictionguide. Even though it’s a few years old I wanted to leave a review to point out how lovely it is. The characters are compelling and unique and each one has a strongly developed personality. It’s incredibly bingeworthy. Austin as a protagonist was relatable and the cast of characters that grows around him—both living and dead—are a treat. There’s a lot of ambiance in the world and the pace of the story keeps you wanting to read more long long into the night. I’m so glad I stumbled upon this work. Great job, Marn!

ANTLERS, COLORADO

No title

By antishiva, member

Dec 16, 2018: Antlers, Colorado is really something special. I already knew Marn was a great author from reading their other works, but Antlers blew it out of the park. The writing is exceptional, there’s an INCREDIBLE amount of LGBT+ characters (that is completely casual and natural; one never feels like a certain character is a ‘token’ included for representation points), and the plot is out of this world (literally, sometimes). I found myself falling in love with pretty much every character Marn introduced us to, and lost a good amount of sleep staying up and saying "I’ll go to bed after this chapter" which I almost never actually stuck to because each chapter was so amazing.

Definitely give this serial a try, at least. I can guarantee you’ll fall for it just like I did. 🙂
