Murder Mystery

As I’m sure you’ve noticed by now I’m usually a reader of speculative fiction – especially fantasy, so Independence Day by Rebecca Spencer is not my usual choice in reading matter. I do like a good murder mystery occassionally, however, and this is shaping up to be a decent – if somewhat soapy – addition to the genre.

Someone has been murdered on Independence Day in Haven Park, a small town with a population of 517 – correction 516.  I would not be surprised if the population experiences a further downward spike as the story progresses.

Compelling murder mystery, Gets 5 stars

As always Bex never disappoints with her series. I have read most if not all her work and Independence Day really is her at her best work. The story is compelling, the characters are vibrant and alive and there is just an overall wonderfully woven story that she has created.
