“Bonne Femme” is a mystery/romance/suspense novel.  Richard Carter, an ex-Marine must betray the trust of the woman he loves in order to save her from a former squadmate from Somalia that he believes has committed multiple murders.  This is neither a “bodice ripper” nor a cozy, but a contemporary tale of psychological terror concerning post traumatic trust and the inability of the police to prevent a crime.
