Eleven demi-gods are prophesied to overthrow the established pantheon. Their mortal mothers decide to hide them in the world of man where they can escape the wrath of the gods. These “upstart” demi-gods will grow strong and one day will fulfill their destiny of challenging heaven itself. The story uses aspects of real world mythologies (Greek, Norse etc.), fantasy . . .
There are two things you need to know before I begin this review proper. First of all, it’s not normal for editors in WFG to review a work that’s just started. Knightfall’s only at Issue One, though that issue is fairly substantive. But I stumbled onto it by chance on the editor’s unreviewed listings board, and I found myself scrolling, [more . . .]
Alex L, the author, has just begun what he describes as his Saturday Serial. Part One is called Potato Juice and runs to just 545 words. At this rate, it will take at least two years to complete even a short novel, but if he continues to build on this highly promising start, it will be worth the wait.
