Professional quality writing and world-building

Oct 8, 2015: Unusually well written, extremely emotive.

I often have trouble with works containing a lot of emotion – it never rings true. Reading this work, I would guess that the author is actually a magic-using detective who has lost her family and her purpose, and is writing a novel now; it seems that genuine.

The world-building is top-notch, and much more coherent and integrated than one usually sees in fantasy – clearly built [more . . .]
