My intention was to read a couple of pages and two hours later I reluctantly tore myself away because of work or sleep – I can’t remember which.  The next day I returned and read as far as was possible at that time.  I check this site almost daily eager for updates.  Got an idea where I am going with this?

Winter Rain is a thrill to read!  The author takes you straight into the head of the main character Tiergan.  Right from the very first word you are seeing and feeling life his way.  Sometimes it’s not pleasant but it is always interesting.

This is fantasy but in a real way.  Tiergan, his family, their associates or characters like them could be living close by to you.  I particularly like the way the author gives away very little background information.  The events could be taking part in any town, country or even in a different dimension.  It doesn’t matter – all that counts is what is happening as you read and what might happen next.

The site header is fabulous and captures the essence of the main character well.  I like the way the author keeps you informed of what is happening with his ‘twitter’ – it is not obtrusive and serves its purpose well.  I am not keen on the font size – I find it too small and difficult to read.  Apart from that the site is reader friendly and the author happily engages with readers through comments.  Be careful though, he might bite . . .
