Let me start by saying that if you’re easily offended by sex, especially gay sex, you will probably shy away from this story. But there is a warning in the Note above, so it shouldn’t catch you by surprise either, and it’s not something that you can’t avoid as you read.

The story is well worth reading and diverges from your run of the mill zombie story in several ways. Zoe’s writing is very polished and engaging with excellent pacing, and her characters are well developed and believable.

The zombies begin in a very Romero-esque universe but quickly diverge through the efforts of the main character to understand the nature of their transformation. And this is where my critiquing ability sucks and why I don’t do a lot of these . . . because I’d like to go into detail and tell you EVERYTHING that happens, and then what would the point be in reading her story?

So go! Read it! And then give Zoe critiques. Lots of them.
