Aug 10, 2011: When I was a teen, I went through an ancient Greek mythology phase. This would have been a major geekfest for me then, and even now I really appreciate seeing the Greek gods getting some love, when the current vogue tends to run to Celtic or East European mythology.
It’s a very rich vein! and I can assure readers, although the tone of these tales is light and playful, as befits their narrator, the author really knows her Greek mythology. She [more . . .]
Aug 16, 2016: This series of observations, and that is what the mini-stories feel like, reminded me of the Nightvale podcast or even a funnier, equally offbeat version of the Twilight Zone. Reading each entry puts another slant on the world of the Archivist, which is strange and unbelievable but written in such a way that I could not help but go along with it.
The writing is concise and witty with a dry sense of humor that has me, while not laughing out [more . . .]
