Scary Mary was one of the first online serial novels that I read, and it remains one of my favorites. Mary has a ghost for a dog, rebellious friends, and the coolest grandmother to grace the web serial world in quite some time.

Mary’s a strong protagonist with a quirky life. Even when she’s going through her hardships, she knows who she is and where she stands, and doesn’t change herself to suit others.

It’s a must-read for anyone who enjoys supernatural stories, despite its high school focus.
