My desire as a writer is to communicate my great love of rich, complex characters and make the experience as compelling and realistic as possible to those that may be reading. I may not always make it there on my first try, but that's definitely what all the insane rewrites are for.
My series is what many would refer to as a soap opera. I try not to put it in that sort of box, because "soap opera" can have a rather negative connotation to some. I instead to say it's an earth-bound (no aliens, faeries or anything else here!), character driven drama about murder and secrets in a small town. I realize, this kind of makes me an oddball around here, and I'm okay with being the odd guy out. Sometimes, it still bugs me (I definitely won't lie and say it doesn't), but I try not to let it.
My reading tastes are something like my writing tastes. I prefer character driven dramas. I like mysteries, soap operas, thrillers, those sorts of things. If there's something along those lines that you think I'd enjoy, feel free to let me know about it.
