As far as genres, I prefer speculative fiction. I also enjoy niche works, in whichever genre they're placed in. That doesn't mean I won't stray outside of it, when reading, but I do prefer things that have some supernatural/fantastical—or, at least, quirky—aspects to it. Don't worry, though: if the genre doesn't interest me, I probably won't read a series in the first place.

I'm also a big fan of queer characters, whether they be lesbian, bisexual, gay, transgender, or anything in-between. As with genres, however, I'll read a wide variety of characters (straight, curvy, crooked, etc). So long as there's depth and quirks about them, chances are the characters will hook me in for the ride.

When it comes to leaving reviews, I've been known to be brutally honest with my opinion. I'm reviewing to help readers decide what I feel is worth their time—authors and other readers should feel free to have a different opinion. In fact, it would be a dull world indeed if everyone always agreed with me. Just realize that disagreement doesn't necessarily mean that either of us is wrong.
