Stories from Osterin by Richard Young

It's all fun and games until somebody loses their mind.

If you can touch the Madness, it will grant you great power. A power that will devour your mind until you are nothing more than a shell.

Make no mistake: it will happen. And when it does, you’ll turn your power on anyone nearby. And trust me, that’s not pretty.

There’s only one option – the protection of the Quis. Only they can slow the corruption. Only they can stop you from killing innocents. And all they ask in return is to stay close to you.

And if you refuse, they’ll kill you.

Stories from Osterin is a collection of short stories that take place in a world where magic and corruption are intertwined. Death, violence and general mayhem abound.

Note: Stories from Osterin is unfinished, and will likely remain so.  It contains some graphic violence.

Dec 26, 2009: The chapters are very short but the writing is solid. Worth a look if you like fantasy.
