MILL AVENUE VEXATIONS

A Curiosity

Mill Avenue Vexations is a little bit different from the usual novel-sized webfiction slog, and that’s good. It’s well-written and there’s lots of it. I find it particularly difficult to review for exactly this reason because it makes me wish I could get into it, but the subject matter just isn’t my thing. Even knowing that, I’m still recommending it for the obvious quality and love that has gone into the story.

Some clumsy prose in the beginning and harsh black-on-white text formatting can make MAV difficult to get into, but I’d tell you to stick it out anyway to get to the meat inside. It’s easy to see the style improvements when comparing the old material to Kyt’s new stuff. She knows her craft, and I’ll definitely be looking out for her in the future.
