When I read the synopsis I thought I wasn’t going to like this story, even though quite a few folks I find myself reading the same stories with or even reading directly recommended it. It took about a week for me to decide I would try it and even then I went in to it with a good bit of skepticism. But I was definitively won over. The talking guns part is not as goofy as I thought it would be at all, in fact it is a very nice touch to the entire story. There are situations of graphic sexual content but not in a play-by-play style, it is mentioned very carefully in fact. The writting is superb, the author takes great care with spelling and word usage, it feels like an accomplished author all the way through for me. I tend to enjoy stories where we can follow characters for a good long time and really get to know them before we have to let them go with a smile on our lips or a sense of justice depending on the involvement of each particular character, and this story is dealing that up in spades so far and it seems as though the author is going to continue to let that unfold for us. I have found myself laughing till I cry, cringeing, sitting on the edge of my seat in anticipation, crying, and in effect feeling every moment of this tale and anxiously awaiting the next page.
