Submissions
We list story-oriented online fiction of almost any genre, including novels, short story collections, and serials. We do not list things that are intended primarily as erotica, but we do list stories that include sexual content in the service of the story. If there is something you think we should list, drop us a line, and we’ll check it out. We try to check out new submissions within a week.
IMPORTANT: What to include with your submission
We need the following information in order to create a listing, and the more you can supply, the faster things will happen:
some text we can use for a description
an optional tagline
some tags to help categorize it (check the listings page for examples of existing tags)
content advisories for each of “graphic sex”, “graphic violence”, and “harsh language” — we use levels “none”, “some”, and “pervasive”
the update schedule (if appropriate)
the display name of the author
If you are not an author submitting your own work, please indicate that in the submission!
Please note: listings of online fiction are made solely at our discretion. If we think it belongs in our listings, we’ll list it. If we don’t, we won’t.
Note to Authors
Listing with us has obvious benefits: you get a permanent spot in our listings, free advertising for your story, a place your readers can share reviews (and an RSS feed so you can monitor them), and additional traffic resulting from our “Reader recommendations” and other features. Our site is designed to make it easy for our readers to find stuff they will want to read, and you reap those rewards by getting your listing shown in a place people are looking.
Listing with us costs nothing—we are a community-run site that offers a service to the community. But, bear in mind—we are a Guide. We are here to help our readers find stuff they will want to read. One of the ways we do that is with editorial reviews, and those reviews are written to serve our readers, not our authors. Bear that in mind.
