(Review written with three chapters up, subject to change).

After a foreword that is a slight extension of the above blurb, you are dropped straight into the action. Well, more like smacked in the face by it.

There’s no introduction to the world or character – we have no idea why this poor bastard is getting the proverbial snot beaten out of him. That, in itself, makes it difficult to root for our protagonist – not knowing if he deserves this punishment or not.

Then, after a protracted fight scene where very little is revealed – aside from a few seemingly innocuous statements (such as a very strange reference to Jesus) – the chapter, and that particular story ends, and another begins.

It’s a solid first-person perspective, but the dissociative nature of the work makes it hard to stay interested.

I’m going to preface this by saying that this story is relatively new and has very little content available right now. Therefore this review may change as new chapters are posted.

I have to say that this serial has oddly hooked me in. It is not one of my favorites, but it is an entertaining read.
